UI Notes
So how did this all happen? Well, I have been a huge Apple fanboy for as long as I have known. My first love was my Powerbook Pismo G3 (Dual Slot Action Baby!) and ever since, I've never looked the other way.
Everytime Apple would release new product, I would rush to the site to check out the latest and greatest from Cupertino. I loved their stuff. It was so far beyond what was we knew as the norm. Their product was beautiful. It was like the 1950's again where design and aesthetics were part of the process.
I often find myself jumping from site to site reading up about all the iPods that have ever been created or on YouTube watching past keynotes and I realized that maybe there are other people out there who are doing the same thing.
That brings us to how this website started. I am currently at a position in a startup where I find myself designing, doing usability and now developing my own work. I have always been solid at producing my ideas however most of the time, it was in Flash so I really didn't have to obtain a mastery of CSS, PHP and Javascript. I've been at my new job for a while now and it was painfully obvious to me that I have to get better. So with a huge folder of Apple goodies, a need to become a better developer and lot of UI concepts gathering dust in my sketchbooks, the Stevesonian was born on August 15th, 2008.
It's my hope that this site becomes the one place that people will think of when they need to learn something about Apple.
The Stevesonian online museum and archive is the one place in the world where one can view the innovative history of Apple Inc. A visitor will be able to find anything (pictures, specs, video, ads, collateral...) about all the products that Apple has ever made in one place as well as participate in a rich Apple community/cult through contribution of content, commentary, and the occastional constructive critique.
Enjoy the site!
